Try accessorizing your gardens with natural materials. Boulders, stones, shells, leaves and pine needles can replace excessive mulch. Use interesting containers and avoid using/buying new plastic pots for your plants.

After the Allium plant has stopped blooming and you are left with a brown seed pod, cut off the stalk at the base so the nutrients go back into the bulb. Then take the Allium stalks with the pod and stick them back in the dirt for garden interest.

The Lonely Bouquet ~ A Club activity. we will make small bouquets and leave them
around town for people to find and take home. We'll attach a postcard to each
one and will reveal the responses at our September meeting. Flowers, greens
and containers will be provided; but, please bring some of your own garden
delights and a small vase or container if you wish.
